What if the most powerful mentalhealth advocate in your life isn't a therapist or a coach?

What if it's your Uber driver?

Kris Webster — author, mentalhealth advocate, and self-described "regular guy with a story to tell" — joins Amin Mombani for one of the most honest conversations on Everyday Conversations so far.

Kris spent 5 days in a psychiatric ward in 2020. He survived domestic abuse from the age of 13. He carries a purple ribbon tattoo on his left forearm as a permanent reminder of what hecame through.

And today — he drives strangers through cities, listens to their stories, and shows up for people the way he wishes someone had shown up for him.

In this episode:

• Why strangers open up to an Uber driver more   than their own therapist

• What really happens behind closed doors in Division 1 College basketball locker rooms

• Kris's personal story — 5 days in a psych ward and what it changed forever

• Surviving domestic abuse and the purple ribbon tattoo that reminds him every day

• The Brotherhood — the book, the story behind it, and Part 2 coming soon

• Why AI is making the mental health crisis worse

• The one sentence every struggling person needs to hear

• Why your story matters — no matter how small you think it is

The most powerful thing you can do for someone who is struggling is not give them a diagnosis or a five-step plan.Just sit with them.
